There has been another lead change in the race for Seattle City Attorney, the second in as many days. Meanwhile, incumbent Pete Holmes has acknowledged his time in office will be coming to an end.

Seattle City Attorney update: Pete Holmes drops to third, trails Nicole Thomas-Kennedy
It’s looking increasingly likely that the coming November runoff for Seattle City Attorney will not include incumbent Pete Holmes, who our polling previously indicated was in serious danger of being eliminated in the Top Two election.
Sara Nelson, Nikkita Oliver ahead in contest for Seattle City Council Position #9
In early returns, Nelson had a plurality of the vote (42.4%), trailed by Oliver (at 35%). Brianna Thomas will likely be eliminated from contention when the results are certified.
It’s a three way race, all right: Seattle City Attorney contest is simply too close to call
Davison is the current leader, with 34.64% and 29,401 votes. Holmes is in second place with 32.80% and 27,844 votes. Thomas-Kennedy is in third place with 32.15% and 27,288 votes. We can’t yet say who will be moving on to the general election.
Teresa Mosqueda on track for reelection, with Kenneth Wilson her likely autumn opponent
Our polling indicated that Mosqueda would easily clinch the top spot, but also found a whopping 55% of voters undecided. Most of those not sure voters appear to have backed Mosqueda. But a significant chunk also went to a candidate who performed very poorly in our survey: Kenneth Wilson.
Bruce Harrell, Lorena González ahead in Seattle mayoral race and likely to move on
Harrell presently leads the fifteen candidate field with 38.23% of the vote. González is in second place with 28.55% of the vote. No other mayoral candidate is anywhere close to them.

26% of likely August 2021 Seattle voters said they were voting for Mosqueda, while 55% said they were not sure. The remaining respondents said either that they would not vote (3%) or picked one of Mosqueda’s opponents, like Kate Martin.
