Tim Eyman again begs for some benefactors to step forth and revive his initiative business

Stand­ing out­side the Sec­re­tary of State’s Elec­tions Annex under a cov­ered walk­way, Eyman staged a repeat per­for­mance of the event he orches­trat­ed last autumn, in which he made a sim­i­lar pub­lic plea for rich right wing fun­ders to pony up megabucks to allow him to run a new ini­tia­tive to get rid of Wash­ing­ton State’s new cap­i­tal gains tax on the wealthy

Let’s amend the King County Charter to elect all county offices in even-numbered years

If adopt­ed by the Coun­cil and rat­i­fied by vot­ers this Novem­ber, the amend­ment would even­tu­al­ly result in future elec­tions for Exec­u­tive, Asses­sor, Elec­tions Direc­tor, and Coun­ty Coun­cil being held in midterm and pres­i­den­tial cycles, rather than in odd-num­bered years, as has been the case for many years.
