Canada poised to expand Nahanni National Park

Over at the Seattle P-I, Joel Connelly writes about the Canadian governnment’s plans to expand Nahanni National Park Reserve, one of our northern neighbor’s most enthralling places. Located in the Northwest Territories, the park surrounds the South Nahanni River, which churns its way through a series of canyons. If legislation is approved to expand the park it will grow to six times its current size.
