Many students choosing to intern at organic family farms over the summer
More and more students are growing interested (pun intended) in working on the farm as a summer job, the New York Times reports. According to the Times, organizers of apprenticeships for small organic family farms are reporting a big uptick in the number of students submitting applications to become farmhands. Mentioned in the story is our own WSU, the first university in the country to offer a degree in organic farming.
