Obama’s tax haven inconsistency

Open Left points out President Obama’s inconsistency in pushing both for the end of tax haven loopholes while also pushing for the Panama Free Trade Agreement, which would be counterproductive towards Obama’s stated goals, because the PFTA, if passed, would “dea[l] a sharp blow” to “President Obama’s ability to deliver on his campaign commitments to close tax loopholes that promote offshoring and re-regulate the financial sector”.
