NWroots 2011: Tell us how we did!

On behalf of the NPI team and the NWroots Fellowship, I’d like to thank all of our readers and supporters who came to NWroots 2011 on Saturday. We were very pleased with how the event turned out, and grateful that so many folks were willing to give up a sunny summer Saturday to participate.

If you were one of the folks who attended, please take a moment to fill out our survey and tell us about your experience.

We’d like to get your impressions on what worked as well as what didn’t work, so we can improve next year’s event. The questions are pretty open-ended, so you can zero in on whatever you’d like to comment on.

A number of journalists and activists have written blog posts about NWroots 2011. Here’s a roundup of the ones that we know about:

Several of the above posts describe NWroots as a Northwest Progressive Institute conference. While NPI did organize NWroots in the past, we became a co-organizer this year with the formation of the NWroots Fellowship. The Fellowship, with Robert Sargent at the helm, really took the lead in putting the 2011 conference together.

In fact, if Robert hadn’t stepped forward to organize it in December 2010, NWroots 2011 could not and would not have happened.

So, readers, if you went to NWroots, be sure to thank Robert if you have a chance. He put in many, many hours and deserves our gratitude for a job well done.
