Bill would finally limit the Patriot Act
The National Security Letters Reform Act of 2009 was introduced into Congress today, as The Raw Story reports, which would limit the expansive subpoena powers granted by the Patriot Act. Why the whole act itself hasn’t been repealed yet is unknown, but this bill is a forward step in that direction, and a much needed one.
