State representative Roger Goodman just gave a short, jubilant victory speech to a roomful of his supporters. Goodman has a wide lead of over 12 percentage points over his Republican opponent Joel Hussey.
Goodman is proud to have ran “an honorable” campaign versus an opponent who reached deep into his bag of dirty tricks. He campaigned every day in the neighborhoods, knocking on 11,400 doors.
State representative Larry Springer also spoke. He joked that he was
annoyed that Goodman had received about as many votes as he had. In prior elections, Springer won handily while Goodman usually squeaked by, in fact, it looked like a loss for Goodman on election night 2010. Not so this year, a relief for his hard-working supporters.
