SNL post-Olympics cold open lampoons Trump’s recent White House meetings

Highlights from the fourteenth episode of Saturday Night Live’s forty-third season:

Donald Trump (Alec Baldwin) convenes a bipartisan symposium featuring Vice President Mike Pence (Beck Bennett) and Senator Dianne Feinstein (Cecily Strong) to address gun safety and gun responsibility.

The Mos Eisley Five (Mikey Day, Kate McKinnon, Charles Barkley) try to make a deal with Goba (Kenan Thompson) to free a captured pilot (Pete Davidson).

Ned (Charles Barkley) knows the only thing that can stop a bad roach is a good roach with a gun.

Charles Barkley, Alex Rodriguez and D.C. Timmons (Kenan Thompson) debate whether basketball, baseball or football is harder.

Weekend Update anchors Colin Jost and Michael Che tackle the week’s biggest news, including Hope Hicks resigning as White House Communications Director and Jared Kushner losing his security clearance. Then, a little later, Hope Hicks (Cecily Strong) stops by to explain her resignation.

Grabbie nominees Tom Sturgeson (Alex Moffat), Lenny Martin (Pete Davidson), Ronald Kellogg (Kenan Thompson), Tim Franklin (Charles Barkley) and Catherine LeBourge (Aidy Bryant) are interviewed on the red carpet.
