Akron restaurant owner dies hours after meeting President Obama
Josephine “Ann” Harris, the owner of a popular diner in Akron, Ohio, died just hours after getting to meet President Obama when he stopped for brunch at her establishment. Harris, a devoted supporter of the president, launched the restaurant with her sisters decades ago; it remains a family business. The White House said that President Obama called Harris’ daughter from Air Force One to convey his condolences.
