Last night’s Mariners game was one for the ages, and a great escape from all of the right wing’s teabagging madness.
Endy Chavez and Ken Griffey Jr. had back to back solo home runs, propelling the Mariners to a early 3 to 2 lead. The Mariners later piled on in the seventh with some small ball and a bases clearing grand slam from Ichiro on his first day back with the Mariners. Jarrod Washburn pitched a fantastic game considering he was sick as a dog, and almost every Mariner got a piece of the offensive action.
The final score was Mariners 11, Angels 3. The Mariners improved to 7-2 and currently own the American League’s best record. They are also undefeated in games against their American League West rivals.
Go Mariners! Hopefully yesterday’s game is a sign of great things to come!
