Voters say Legislature has a responsibility to act to prevent school closures, staff layoffs
55% of 874 voters interviewed from March 7th-8th, 2023 said they agreed that Washington’s public schools are underfunded and we need to raise state revenue to fully fund them, while 35% disagreed and 10% were not sure. 59% of those surveyed subsequently said they agreed that the Legislature has an obligation to respond to the fiscal crises districts are facing by substantially increasing school funding.
64% of Washington voters want legislators to fund universal, no-cost school meals for kids
64% of 874 likely 2024 voters interviewed March 7th and 8th by Public Policy Polling for NPI said they strongly or somewhat supported universal no-cost school meals, while a total 33% said they were strongly or somewhat opposed.

69% of 874 likely 2024 Washington State voters interviewed by Public Policy Polling earlier this month said that they agreed that the planned obsolescence business practices of firms like Apple and Samsung were a problem, with only 15% disagreeing and 16% not sure.
Two-thirds of Washington voters support barring gender-based price discrimination
67% of 874 likely voters interviewed in March of 2023 by Public Policy Polling voiced support for prohibiting people or businesses “from charging different prices for two substantially similar goods based on the gender of the persons to whom the goods are marketed,” which is what Senate Bill 5171 would do if enacted. 59% were strongly supportive and another 8% were somewhat supportive.
Maria Cantwell has a fifteen point lead over hypothetical opponent Jaime Herrera Beutler
Asked whether they would prefer Cantwell or Herrera Beutler if the 2024 U.S. Senate election were being held now, 50% of 874 likely 2024 Washington voters picked Cantwell, while 35% picked Herrera Beutler. Another 14% were not sure.

Voters in Washington State strongly support taxing extreme wealth, NPI poll confirms
67% of 874 likely voters surveyed by Public Policy Polling in March 2023 for NPI said they supported levying a one percent wealth tax on Washington residents whose worldwide wealth exceeds a quarter billion dollars, to benefit the state’s essential public services, while only 28% were opposed and 5% were not sure.
Support for an assault weapons ban in Washington State is growing, NPI poll finds
58% of respondents to NPI’s winter 2023 Washington State poll said they are supportive of banning assault weapons, while 40% said they were opposed and 3% said they were not sure. A majority of likely voters continue to be strongly supportive.
A plurality of special election voters in Seattle disapprove of how their schools are being run
