Poll Watch: KOMO/Strategies 360 confirms Patty Murray has double digit lead; Hobbs and Anderson tied for Secretary of State

Wash­ing­ton’s Demo­c­ra­t­ic U.S. Sen­a­tor Pat­ty Mur­ray con­tin­ues to enjoy a dou­ble dig­it lead over Repub­li­can chal­lenger Tiffany Smi­ley, while Sec­re­tary of State hope­fuls Steve Hobbs and Julie Ander­son are tied at 38% apiece with less than a month until the midterms, a new poll from Strate­gies 360 and KOMO has found.

Moving King County elections to even years will make county topics more visible to voters

Repub­li­can Rea­gan Dunn asks rhetor­i­cal­ly if peo­ple will pay atten­tion to coun­ty races if they’re in even years. The answer is yes, they will… because coun­ty gov­er­nance and coun­ty-lev­el top­ics will be part of the mix in years when peo­ple are more attuned to pol­i­tics and when the medi­a’s polit­i­cal cov­er­age is more robust.
