GIFs fly on social media after Tim Eyman claims he’s running for governor

Yesterday, disgraced initiative promoter and admitted liar Tim Eyman declared he’s running against Jay Inslee for governor in 2020 (and note his choice of words: against Inslee, as opposed to for the people of Washington State).

Not surprisingly, this inspired a range of strong reactions. Eyman’s fans professed delight and egged him on, while pretty much everyone else groaned.

Here are a few of the GIFs that we saw posted to social media in reaction to news clips about Eyman’s purported gubernatorial bid.

  1. After Trump’s win in ’16, I take this very seriously. The more rules these men break, the more they skirt the process, the more popular they become.
