The Washington State Legislature is going home. Having spent sixty days working to craft three budgets and pass a long list of policy bills (many liberated from the Republicans’ graveyard of progress), lawmakers in the Democratic-controlled House and Senate jubilantly voted to adjourn Sine Die tonight.

De-Escalate Washington’s I‑940 approved by the Legislature along with a compromise bill
In a historic vote, the House and Senate of the State of Washington have approved an initiative and a successor bill that removes the requirement for prosecutors to prove that a police officer acted “without malice” when bringing a case for improper use of deadly force.
Washington State House, Senate agree on 2018 supplemental operating budget
As one of its final acts prior to adjourning Sine Die later on this evening, the Washington State Legislature today sent Governor Jay Inslee a supplemental operating budget agreement that appropriates funding to a host of essential public services necessary to the health and well-being of our communities.
