“I voted no… These [Eyman] initiatives are costing us more and more.”

I voted NO. These initiatives are costing us more and more. Eyman banks on the fact that too many people do not know how funding works from the state level to local needs. Monies cannot be simply ‘pulled’ from one fund to another to cover public safety, infrastructure improvements/additions, schools. Washington state is seeing incredible economic growth and we cannot afford to lose funding for our cities and towns because of ignorance and shortsightedness. When you vote away funding, you also lose from the federal level, because many local infrastructure needs also receive federal matching funds to complete projects provided the monies meet or exceed the federal mandates.
