All those last minute exhortations to vote apparently did some good. This just in from our friends at King County Elections via email to NPI:
Lots of last minute voted ballots in hand at King County Elections!
Over 31,000 voters returned their ballots to drop boxes yesterday and another estimated 40,000 ballots arrived in today’s mail delivery.
The next results posting will be at 4:30 PM and will add an estimated 26,000 ballots to the count.
Turnout may reach 20% today – we’ll see.
POSTSCRIPT: Turnout didn’t quite get to 20%, but it’s close, with 19.52% being the current number of registered voters voting. Tomorrow it should pass 20%.
