Two killed and twenty-three hurt at South by Southwest by driver trying to evade police
Early this morning, a horrific tragedy occured in Austin, Texas, the home of the South by Southwest festival, when a suspected drunken driver broke through a police barricade and sped into a crowd of people on Red River Street, killing two and injuring about two dozen. Police later tased and apprehended the suspect, who faces two charges of capital murder and twenty-three counts of aggravated assault with a vehicle. The suspect, Rashad Charjuan Owens, is unlikely to ever see the outside of a prison again if convicted.
