Don’t like drought and water rationing? Then don’t complain about the rain we’re getting!

There are two sides to every coin, as the saying goes. Anyone who is feeling annoyed by this weekend’s unending showers in western Washington should remember that this rainfall is replenishing our watersheds and reservoirs.

In the mountains, meanwhile, the snowfall is replenishing our snowpack, which has been below where it needs to be. If we can get caught up, we can look forward to a summer without a drought. And those are the best kind.
