Newt Gingrich’s foray into the presidential race was almost adorable at first, but now, he’s just grating, particularly after today’s whining about not being on the primary ballot in his home state of Virginia. His campaign failed to meet the requirement of 10,000 valid signatures with His campaign failed to meet the requirement of 10,000 valid signatures with 400 from each congressional district. It’s spelled out clearly in § 24.2-521 and § 24.2-522 of Virginia’s state code.
