Welcome to NPI’s Elections Hub

2023 Top Two election: Browse election results for the elimination round of this year’s local election cycle

Seattle: Matchups look set in the city’s seven city council districts, with the biggest drama in District #3, where Joy Hollingsworth and Alex Hudson are almost tied

Spokane: Lisa Brown romps to a big first place showing over incumbent Mayor Nadine Woodward in early results; Woodward dismisses her poor showing and declares: “We are on our way to victory and a major change up of City Council!”

Snohomish County: Executive Dave Somers, Councilmember Megan Dunn, Auditor Garth Fell lead in their respective races, with election denier Robert Sutherland on the verge of elimination

Whatcom County: Incumbent Satpal Sidhu has a plurality lead for Executive and may face Dan Purdy in the general election, while Alicia Rule and Barry Buchanan are likely to be eliminated

What’s at stake in this election: 2023 is a local election year, with contests for mayor, city council, port commissioner, and school board. Three counties will elect county-level positions as well: King, Snohomish, and Whatcom. A large number of special districts, including fire and hospital districts, will also hold elections.
