Joe Sestak leads in Pennsylvania

Great news out of Pennsylvania tonight as Congressman Joe Sestak is currently leading his race against Republican Pat Toomey to replace the party-switching Arlen Specter. Sestak already overcame considerable odds once to retire the incumbent Specter.

According to returns released at 10pm Eastern by the Pennsylvania Department of State, Congressman Sestak leads by a 1,178,532 votes (52%) to 1,094,628 votes (48%) margin with 60% of the precincts reporting.

This race is a tale of polar opposites. Toomey is favored by Sarah Palin and the extreme right, while Sestak is the progressive choice.

A Sestak win would keep the seat for the Democrats.
