A new water taxi service

The Seattle P-I had an interesting story up Saturday on a private water taxi service being run on Lake Union. The service, run by Jennifer Towne, a former sail boat racer, has been in operation for two weeks.

Here are the routes:
From 1303 NE Boat Street in the University District to Chandler's Cove Marina, 901 Fairview Avenue N, in South Lake Union -- 30 minutes

From the north side of the Ship Canal under the Aurora Bridge in Fremont to the Center for Wooden Boats, 1010 Valley St., in the South Lake Union area -- 20 minutes
The fare is $3 one way or $5 round trip and runs throughout the day.
