Governor's race remains tight

Recent developments:

Grays Harbor County To Recount Its Votes
The county auditor says all 30,000 votes are being recounted due to a computer problem; Rossi had a 231 vote lead in the county...County Auditor Vern Spatz said the recount will likely add to Democrat Christine Gregoire's total votes for governor. [from KOMO 4 | November 16th, 2004]

More ballots found in King County
Gregoire edged back into the lead on Monday, November 15th, boosted by 10,000 newly discovered and uncounted ballots in King County, with an estimated 21,700 ballots left to be counted. King County elections officials say the 10,000 additional ballots were not included in their earlier estimate. [from the Seattle Times | November 15th, 2004]

Democrats win in court over ballots
A Superior Court judge ordered King County election officials to give Democrats the names of 929 voters whose provisional ballots face rejection over signature inconsistencies. The state Democratic Party sued for that list so it can try to track down those voters and encourage them to appeal the rejection, as Republicans are doing in a number of Rossi-leaning counties.
